Help Someone In Need This Christmas with Crisis UK

Updated: Dec 13, 2021

With over 200,000 Britons currently experiencing homelessness, this year, many will experience their first Christmas without a home.

What is Crisis UK?

Crisis was founded in 1967 to eradicate homelessness in the UK.

Not only have they helped tens of thousands to date, but they also have a plan showing the solutions that can end homelessness in Britain, including how long it will take and how much it will cost.

Crisis was never intended to be in existence for this long. We don't intend to be in existence in 50 years' time.

As they celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Crisis Christmas Centre this year, Crisis UK is committed to ensuring their members are not homeless and alone during this Christmas period.

In London alone they will be offering hotel accommodation to those who would be spending Christmas on the street from 23rdof December to the 5th of January.

As for greater Britain, Crisis are still committed to ensuring members are supported by providing befriending services, delivering hot food, ensuring members have access to online health, wellbeing, and entertainment activities.

Where Do Donations Go?

Homelessness is not a blanket problem, every individual has their own story. At Crisis, there are many different ways donations can be spent to best support the people in need.

Crisis is all about accountability, and with every donation, you can make a tangible impact towards eradicating homelessness;

  • £5 can provide personal health essentials, including a toothbrush, toothpaste and sanitary products

  • £28.18 can provide a place at Crisis over Christmas which includes 3 hot meals a day and access to year-round services

  • £ 140.90 can provide 5 places at Crisis at Christmas including the chance to shower and get a haircut

  • £281.80 can provide 10 places at Crisis at Christmas, including vital medical and dental care

How can I support Crisis?

There are many ways for you to get involved and support this holiday season
